How YOU feel matters! Self care is one of those things we tend to push to the back burner. You may have grown up believing that it is good and kind to put others first. You might have learned that it is important to work hard before you “earned” the right to take time for yourself and rest. Or maybe you feel immense guilt when you do rest? However, this “programming” doesn’t always serve you. Denying how you feel in favor of “being a good girl/boy” leaves you empty, drained, and exhausted. To some people, it’s an act of selflessness. But in reality, not allowing yourself time for yourself is a sign that you should check in on your sense of self-worth. You cannot continually put yourself last on the priority list without feeling the consequences on your energetic health and wellness.
It’s paramount to check in with yourself, to bring awareness to your OWN needs. Clearing, nurturing and supporting your personal energy is important to do on a regular basis.
As cliché as it may sound, you can’t pour from an empty cup! In a society that thrives on hustle and business, it’s important to slow down and take time to remember who YOU are as a person outside of your other titles in life. Now more than ever, we understand that our energy has the ability to impact our health and wellness, and other people. Everyday energy self care is critical to your health and wellness. This is true on an energetic level, just as it is on an emotional and physical level. When you prioritize you and self care, you are able to show up for yourself and care for others!
